VB.NET Lead Developer - Manchester

Key skills - VB.NET, VB6, ASP, ASP.NET, SQL, SQL Server, IIS

A brand new opportunity has arisen for a well established and successful software house based in Manchester. My client is currently looking for a VB.NET/VB6/SQL lead developer to work from their Manchester based offices.

You shall be working within a team of 4 other developers, and as the lead developer you shall be acting as a mentor and team leader, using your experience and development expertise, whilst still working within a hands on development role.

You shall be working on .NET based development projects, so candidates will need to be familiar with VB.net, perhaps having come from a VB6 background previously. Strong SQL Server 2000 or 2005 knowledge would be ideal, as would any previous exposure to ASP and ASP.NET.

This role is will provide the right candidate with the career path to move in to a Development Managers position at some point in the future, so there is a clearly defined career path, and would suit a Senior or Lead Developer, frustrated with the lack of progression within their current employment.
