C/C++. Embedded Linux. RTOS. TCP/IP. VoIP. Cambridge. £40k - £50k. Market leading software house based in central Cambridge are seeking a talented software engineer to work on their portfolio of broadcasting products. The successful software engineer will primarily be developing in digital communications software in embedded C/C++, with an opportunity to cross train into .NET C#, developing leading edge solutions for highly prestigious broadcasting companies.

The ideal software developer will come from an embedded C/C++ background, with skills in some or all of the following: C++, embedded C, embedded linux, RTOS, TCP/IP, networking, VoIP, UML, OOD. and have hands on experience of the full project lifecycle with good experience of application development. Ideally you will have sound knowledge of design patterns and design methods, e.g UML. This is a hands on role that requires a software developer with strong software programming principles, as you will be developing software components for various products running on different systems, delivering cutting edge technology to the top broadcasters in the world, using embedded C/C++, and eventually C#.
