Responsible for Network/Domain management and maintenance to make most effective use of systems resources.
Defining and maintaining group policies to ensure all users have appropriate access to the system thereby maintaining security and confidentiality requirements.
Responsible for cost effective resource management (Storage, Printers, etc.) to ensure services are available to all users against defined service levels.
Maintaining network and system security to ensure compliance with company policy and to avoid network failure as a result of internal/external security breach.

Responsible for the integration and testing of Business Continuity plans into the technology infrastructure to minimise risk from system failure.
Provision and maintenance of remote connectivity with business partners including Virtual Private Network (VPN), File Transfer Protocol (FTP) etc. to ensure the flow of business critical data is maintained.
Ensuring, both personally and through efficient Management of Network Administrator, daily / weekly / monthly / annual IT Operations tasks are completed and any issues resolved in a timely manner, especially those affecting clients.
Contributing to the continued success and efficiency of the company by carrying out additional ad-hoc tasks described in the Technology Task Group List as may be required from time-to-time.

Experience of Domain, Active Directory and Policy Management.
Experience of TCP/IP and X.25 Communications.
Server Platform Maintenance and Migrations, Windows Server Enterprise 2000/2003.
Server Software Maintenance and Migrations, Exchange 2000/2003, DNS.
Oracle Server 9.02 and Microsoft SQL Server Maintenance and Management.
