The purpose of the role is to ensure that we provide effective and efficient administrative support to our members. The postholder must be able to deal with general enquires from our members, and potential new members, ensuring that the reputation of the Company is upheld.
The role will be pivotal in ensuring that our members are satisfied in the services that we can provide. They will ensure that all member details are updated and that any changes to membership details are actioned quickly and effectively, in line with Company processes and procedures.
Duties include
Effectively handle any calls that come into the business to do with membership services, ensuring that calls are forwarded to other areas of the business as appropriate
Ensure that all new members receive the correct documentation from the Company, within agreed timescales
Ensure that any database containing member details is updated on a regular basis, removing those members that have cancelled their membership. This will include the monthly check of membership status
Provide cover for the Company Receptionist as necessary
Process HPI checks as required
In liaison with the Health & Safety Divisional Manager dispatch Health & Safety information to members, recording all details as appropriate
Ensure that general administrative functions are carried out within the Membership Services Division, thereby ensuring that the Division is fully effective in the services that it offers our members
Administer usage of the GEE website, ensuring that membership details are updated and that passwords are given or removed as appropriate
Carry out courtesy calls to members to ensure that our business activities are meeting their requirements, feeding back any issues to the relevant business area
Compile management information as requested by senior management
Ensure that all activities undertaken are in accordance with Company policy and procedure Previous administration experience within an office environment.
Must have excellent interpersonal, communication and motivational skills
The ability to build relationships with key people, both internally and externally
The ability to use initiative at all times and make decisions when necessary
Must be PC literate having a good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Any other duties as requested by senior management
Minimum GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
