MANUFACTURING ENGINEER

LOCATION:
KEIGHLEY

SALARY:
£27,000 circa + benefits

COMPANY INFORMATION

Our client is a leading manufacturer of special purpose equipment, supplying amongst others to the Automotive and Aerospace industries. Well established and expanding rapidly, this is a profitable outfit with much pipeline business in a bespoke product range

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED

- Background in manufacturing/production Engineering
- Experience in automated manufacturing environment
- Minimum HNC in Engineering
- Experience in using tools such as SPC, FMEA, TPM or Lean
- Experience in a working on capital projects on specifications, quotations and commissioning equipment
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate at all levels
- Passionate about manufacturing and process improvements

ADDITONAL SKILLS PREFERED

- experience in Aerospace or Automotive industry
- experience in running projects from cradle to grave
- Experience in Six Sigma techniques
- Experience in setting up new processes and SOP’s

ROLE INFORMATION:

This varied role will involve working on capital projects - sourcing equipment and suppliers, commissioning equipment, managing third party contractors, designing plant layout and implementing work instructions and SOPs. The Manufacturing Engineer will also be responsible for leading continuous improvement projects, and implementing tools such as SPC, OEE, FMEA, TPM, Kanban, and Six Sigma.
