Full Description:
PURPOSE of ROLE
To provide flexible project support for the NWAA Skills Manager.

KEY OBJECTIVES

*To assist the Skills Manager achieve the aims and outputs of the Supply Chain Excellence Programme training and coaching work packages.

*To assist the Skills Manager with events and exhibitions.

*To offer administration support for the Skills Manager

MAIN TASKS

*To liaise with the member companies who participate in the programme to increase the participation in training courses.

*Development of training and coaching calendars for all companies on the Programme

*Development of participant databases for all Programme training courses

*Liaising with service providers and venues as necessary to organise training courses

*To assist with the Annual Young People Awards

*To develop, control and add to the "Skills and Competitiveness" web pages on the website.

*To be able to deputise for the Skills Manager in dealing with external agencies and companies, including visiting external agencies and companies.

*To make external visits to companies or partners as tasked by the Skills Manager


To assist with Young People outreach activities

*To undertake any activity and provide any support as required, ensuring efficient operation of activities in line with the company Business Plan


Essential Skills
*Good general administration and business background either from training or direct work experience
*A good working knowledge of various software systems including specifically MS Office including Excel, Access and Powerpoint
*5 GCSE including Maths and English

Desirable Skills
*Experience of Public Sector organisation
*12 months relevant work experience within an office environment
*Basic accountancy/ book keeping experience

Personal Skills
*Enthusiasm for the position
*Good organisational and time management skills
*Confidence and ability to work with personnel at all levels
*Proven to be able to work under own initiative
*Willingness to undertake further training for career development
*Driver with access to car
