Full Description:
My client, based in Blackburn, is a highly successful designer and manufacturer of military electronic communication systems.

The company is experiencing high growth in its business activities and is therefore seeking a CONFIGURATION CONTROL MANAGER .

Ideally, you will have more than two years experience of working in a hi-technology electronics industry.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

•To ensure that a consistent and effective approach to Configuration Management (CM) is applied across all products.
•To generate CM plans where required by contract.
•To instigate, minute and direct the business of Configuration Control Boards and ensure that follow-up action is taken.
•To oversee the flow of accepted design changes into SAP so that the production database remains aligned with the accepted design standard build.
•To resolve CM issues with Customers or Suppliers as necessary.

KEY COMPETENCIES & QUALIFICATIONS:

•Educated to HNC or equivalent level.
•Experienced in the use of configuration management tools and techniques.
•Able to work efficiently within a dynamic team environment.
•An effective, computer literate communicator.
•Experienced in working with and ‘reading’ design drawing packs.
