Our client in the NHS is looking for an experienced Medical Secretary to assist in their department. You will be employed on a temporary basis and the role is expected to last for approx 2 months. You will be responsible for supporting a busy team and consultant.
Responsibilities include:
? Audio Typing with Medical Terminology
? Managing and maintaining consultants diary
? General Administration
? Generating patient letters and dealing with enquiries from patients and other staff
? Arranging appointments for clinics
? Specialist referrals
It is essential that you have previous experience as a Medical Secretary and can demonstrate knowledge or medical terminology. As an ideal candidate for this role, you will be organised, methodical and able to juggle a busy workload. Successful applicants should possess a typing speed of 50+ WPM, be fully IT literate and proficient in the use of MS Office packages. Previous NHS experience, AMSPAR qualifications and knowledge of the PAS and Medisec systems would be beneficial but not essential.
