Venn Group has been approached by one of its largest public sector clients to recruit a Financial Accounts Assistant on a minimum 2 month temporary contract.
Reporting to the Assistant Finance Manager, the successful candidate will be required to assist with the year end accounts. This will include being responsible for all cash and banking duties, posting onto the financial ledger, processing daily payment runs, recording and receipting cheques and inputting journals onto the finance systems. Database and Excel spreadsheet maintenance are also a daily part of the role.
You will need to have previous exposure to the above functions as well as having excellent communication and organisation skills. A working knowledge of Excel and previous experience of cashiering and double entry bookkeeping are also essential in order to settle into the role effectively.
